Pad printing is used to print a clean image onto 3D or textured objects! Think of it as a regular stamp and ink pad but to the next level! A design is etched into a plate, then ink is poured on the plate. A soft pad is pressed down on the plate, picking up all the details of the design. The pad is then pressed down onto a 3D or textured object to transfer the design.
Blow up your balloon about halfway and tie it closed so the air doesn’t escape.
Pour paint on the piece of cardboard.
Spread the paint out evenly.
Push your stamp into the paint.
Press the balloon into the wet paint on your stamp.
Now your stamp shape is on the balloon.
Press your balloon onto your piece of nature. The soft balloon will mold to the 3D shape and transfer the paint to it. How does your decorated piece of nature look?
